pain relief from maningioma
I am 73years old diagnose with maningioma 2.4*2.0cm. The Doctor from Neuro Surgery said that neither Surgery nor Gama knife can be don't at this stage, but here i am have intense pain in the left side of my body and my head. So here i am taking pain killer every day. Please suggest me how to relieve the pain and to prescribe some MEDICINE. plerase, I did have done all the MRI test everything seems to be normal other then the maningioma.So its true what the doctor said about the surgery and the gama knife.

I am sorry to hear about your medical problems. Why is the meningioma inoperable—because of its location or size or because it is malignant or because of your age and other medical problems? If it is inoperable and a high dose radiation cannot be given then ask if low dose radiation over several visits can be tried or not. If that too is not possible then ask if some of the new drugs can be tried on you or not.
Otherwise I am sorry, you will need to ask your pain management doctor for better round the clock pain management. Hope this helps. Take care!
