panic and depression with mirena

I've had the Mirena put in april of 2004 and in july of 2004 i had my first panic attack. I've been living with panic and agoraphobia for almost 4 years now. and im noticing that im getting more and more depressed,and week and tired and emotional and overwelmed. I also have one breast with a douzen krist in it and my eyes are almost all yellow.
should i get it out?? im rellly concerned

Hello.

There are a many reports of side effects of Mirena, which you have also described. It is mainly the hormonal imbalance that plays a role in producing these effects.

I think the best step would be to consult your Obstetrician/Gynecologist for these problems. If there are other alternatives available, they are worth considering.

I can't answer your question but wanted to say somebody just posted a question about this very same thing a few weeks ago.  My friend had the Mirena placed and within a few months her whole personality changed.  She was so depressed and anxious she almost lost her job.  She was a completely different person.  She did not have it removed but she is now on an antidepressant and she has returned to normal.  I don't know if it was the cause but she was a completely normal person prior to Mirena.
