partial epilectic seizures

is it possible to have epilespy with out external seizures?  my problem is my extreme reaction to long steady grinding sounds or for that matter any sound whose tonal sound doesn't change.  I have extreme emotional reactions that are causing me social problems.  I live in public housing and they use a weed wacker and vacuum which gives me no relief for 6 hrs.  about 5 hrs into it, i start haveing 'fits' which i can't control and i run out screaming at the workers which really doesn't work.  for 31/2 mths. we had cess pool conversion going on not far from my front door, around my windows, i was surronded by sound for 8hrs. a day as well as the months it took to complete.  I felt like i was going crazy and the managers of housing didn't seem to care.  I would also have jerking in limbs and throughout my body, some time for hours.Recently, i have become sensitive to color.  yellow was in that catorgory, i couldn't look at for long. there are other problems, but i would like to know if im on the right track in self diagnosis.  thanks

     How are you? Epilepsy is charecterised by recurrent seizures, EEG changes and focal neurologic symptoms. They can be divided into generalized and partial seizures. Any seizure is usually accompanied by loss of consciousness after an attack called as post-ictal period, eneuresis during the attack etc.
In your case you did not mention about all these symptoms, also there is a clear cut relationship between external stimuli and occurrence of jerks or seizures. We need to differentiate between panic attacks, pseudo seizures and epilepsy. Panic attacks usually are in correlation with external circumstances.
An EEG and serum prolactin level after an attack would be confirmatory.
Consult a neurologist and discuss about the mentioned possibilities.
