peripheral vision and headaches

My husband began having graying in his peripheral vision of his left eye a couple months ago.  He has since had a complete ophthomological work-up, complete with follow up with a retinal specialist.  His eyes thoroughly checked out normal both times.  Optic nerve looked normal, no other indications of eye issues.  He has been having daily headaches on the same side of his head which last an hour or so a day.  No other neurologic symptoms.  Retinal specialist said the CNS symptoms  that they check for during exam were normal but the next step would be an MRI of his brain.  I am so worried about what they will find ( being six months pregnant doesn't help!).  The symptoms coincided to a blow to the head and he is also under temendous stress.  Could either of those be factors?  I am clinging to the hope that a tumor would present with more symptoms like the bulging eye or change of coordination which he doesn't have, and that there are other, easier to cope with diagnosis but his symptoms are very concerning...  Thank you so much for any advice or guidance.  His MRI is scheduled for a few weeks.  He is 34.

Since the occular examination as well as retina is normal, we have to look for the cause in the brain. It could be secondary to stroke, pituitary stalk mass compressing the optic chiasm or vascular compromise (may be secondary to injury) .

Also at times severe stress can lead to similar symptoms.
