I am hoping someone here can help me. In 2004, I suffered what seemed to be a migraine, lasting 4 days. I have a history of hormone-related migraines, but those were manageable. Upon waking up this particular time, I did not remember the headache, the house we had bought the previous year, or that I had been "out of it" for 4 days. All I remember is going to sleep one Sunday night and waking up late in the afternoon on what I thought was Monday. It was Thursday, as it turns out. I had a CT and MRI during the headache, followed by an MRA. None of these tests showed anything significant. Now, in 2007, I still deal with short-term memory loss, but no one can figure out what happened. Before that last migraine, my memory (short and long-term) was spectacular. All lab and xray results have been normal.
I know something must have happened during that "headache", but what? Does anyone have any ideas? I should mention that I am an insulin-dependant type 1 diabetic, x 23 years, well-controlled. I have low normal bp, and very low cholesterol, no family history of heart disease or cancer, but a family history of stroke.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
