pituitary adenoma

I had a pituitary adenoma removed approximately 5 years ago.  The surgeon
felt comfortable that he had removed all the cell growth. I have had mrs's at
6 month and 1 year after the surgery that did not show any re-growth.
Should i have follow up mri's and if so how often to check for regrowth??
I am concerned that these adenomas are like cancer and have a tendency to
re-grow after a period of time??

thank you for your help
