pituitary tumor causes loss of vision

Hello. Back in march, i had a tumor removed from my pituitary gland. It as pushing up on my optic nerves causing loss of vision and headaches. The doctors went in through the nose, and removed most of it. Head was good and vision was restored. About 3 months later, the headaches were back and the vison was gone again. I went back to the doctor, and he stated that a cyst had formed in its place. They wnet in through ther skull to remove it.

5 weeks later and the vision has not yet returned. I am also only sleeping about 2 hours a night.

Is there any hope for my vision ?

Do you know what kind of tumor it was? Did you have any kind of neuro-endocrine testing before the surgery? What did the pathology say?

It is very unusual that a cyst or tumor would recur in 3 months. Did you get a copy of the pathology and the surgery report? Did the doctor say anything about sparing the optic nerve?

Have you seen a neuro-opthamologist since your surgery? A neuro endocrinologist?

Had your surgeon done over 500 surgeries?
