Hi,
Hallucinations and night mares are common side effects of Propranolol. However, these are not serious side effects. You do not need to stop the medication for these symptoms. Please talk to your doctor for the management of the symptoms. Another fact about Propranolol is that it should not be stopped suddenly otherwise it may cause Angina, and possibility a heart attack. Please discuss with your doctor if you really want to change the medication.  Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
