please help us understand

Please help us understand.Ten days ago my brother in law went to the hopsital for a migraine. It was a reoccuring problem so the hospital did a cat scan and sent him home. the following day the hospital wanted to do a spinal tap and referred him to nuerologist. Now there saying 26 lesions, 2 strokes, a dime sized brain tumor, bleeding on the brain.  Now we are waiting on surgery. What is this that pops up seemingly overnight?  What can we as a family do to prepare for after the surgery if there is an after?

I too have had recurring migraine headaches.  When I first saw my family doctor, I was diagnosed with chronic tension headache, until she learned that I have family history of neurological condiiton.  She ordered MRI scan of the brain and the result was I have a small aneurysm and Chiari Malformation.  I learned that I was born with the Chiari Malformation and only became symptomatic recently.  I have had decompression surgery on the Chiari Malformation about a month ago and the aneurysm is being monitored.

I was very optimistic about the surgery and wanted to feel better.  My family and friends were also of great support and very optimistic.  Just being there for me really helped.

I wish for your brother in law to have a successful surgery and a quick recovery.
