please help

by thelostoriginal, Oct 07, 2009 08:43PM
this is my situation. at nineteen, 3 years ago, i randomly went blind. was treated my amazing doctors, a harvard grad and a neurothomologist at stanford university, but never got any answers. they narrowed it down to autoimmune. during the first week of being treated i was hospitalized for iv steriods and had a spinal tap to rule out pseudo tumor ceribri and a mri of the optic nerves. i was diagnosed with optic neuritis. since the original onset i have also seen a neuropthomologist in little rock, ar with the suggestion of vitamin d deficiency. got tested and now on 50kui a week. i have had on and off symptoms.  now i am having increased difficulties seeing. nothing seems to change i always have swelling in my optic nerve but no one cares anymore but seeing a neurologist on monday. i have been getting worse lately with migranes everyday weakness extreme fatigue depression nausea light sensitivity and a complete inability to deal with everday life. it feels like my body is just going into slow motion. ms is becoming the last chance to have any diagnosis. please comment with any insight if it even sounds like ms is possible. thank you for the help.
