my brother is 35 years old and he was suffering from pontine hemorrahage ,non diabetic ,non smoker but known hypertensive is there how much prognosis if bleed in brain to mide brain

Pontine Hemorrhage suggests that the bleed has occurred in Pons (part of brain) which is a very important area as essential brain nerve fibres originate in the higher centers of the brain passes through Pons, then through the spinal cord and their respective parts of the body. Therefore, a bleed (most commonly due to hypertension) in pons affects the entire body. Apart from the partial or complete paralysis, the patient may lose consciousness, and pin-point pupil. CT scan is extremely important to detect the acute brain bleed and MRI will be helpful in detecting the size. Treatment mainly involves anti-hypertensive, medicines to lower the intracranial pressure, antibiotics and multivitamins.
