presistant dry cough

I Am suffering from a persistent dry cough night and day, especially at night having me to loose sleep. For approximately 15 years I ams having this cough. Some time it go away for a wile and will returned whet I get the flewm or for no reasons. I will get ride of the flew but the cough will continuous for a very long time. It have been about 2 years since I am coughing regularly.  I have been to my primary care Doctor, Lung specialist, ENT Specialist, Heart Specialist. Have taken sleep test X-ray,breathing test and different type of prescribed medication and still no relieves. I am also have been having a very strenuous pain under my right shoulder blade that makes me very uncomfortable when I sit, stand and lie-down I dont know it this is related. I am very tired of this condition. I tries to avoid been around people but that is inevitable.  When people here me cough they will ask what wrong or sometime I get the looks or will suggest something for me take. Plese talk to me.

Hi.

You should consider having your condition checked by an allergologist.  15 years of coughing is a long time and if infectious in nature would have probably worsened considerably. It might be an allergic cough.

Is the pain present all the time or does it occur when coughing? Your pain might be unrelated to your cough symptoms.  I would suggest that you consult your physician to check for any underlying cause to your pain.
