is it possible to be sent some documented proof that an operation to remove a syrinx of the 5th and 6th thoracic vertebrae can be done with good results. can you also tell me of the treatments which would help with this condition and also some of the consequences of an operation and treatments.

The exact location of the syrinx, size, cause, and clinical exam and history would need to be evaluated to determine if a surgery is necessary. A surgery to treat this would either involve opening the cord and allowing the fluid in the space to drain, or placing a physical drain in the syrinx. The consequences of surgery could include injuring the spinal cord, or the surgery may not help with the symptoms. Without having the above information I cannot be more specific. Good luck
