pulsating sensation

For the past few days now, I've had a strange pulsating sensation in my head, right above my right ear.  The time between these sensations can range anywhere from a couple minutes to a couple hours and is really starting to worry me.  My father, who is an opthamologist, told me he thought it was a pinched nerve and to take tylenol to treat the symptoms, but tylenol hasn't really helped.

I suggest seeing a chiropractor. Your nerves might be pinched causing a variety of symptoms and ailments.

I've been having some really strange sensations. First, I just don't feel like myself. I'm nauseated and I get these weird hot flashes that last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Also, when I breath in I get this strange rolling/wave sensation that just flows all over my body and it effects my balance. Today another symptom popped up. I have an uncomfortable ache on in my chest on the left side. Any suggestions? I'm 23 so I like to be active, but this has lasted for about a month and has totally made me inactive because I feel sick when I breath in. I just want it to go away.

I also have this symptom. I am a glaucoma "suspect". That is I have irregular optical nerve, but normal pressure.

I have a feeling that my optical nerve problem is related to that pulsation over my ear. I feel like bubbling sensation like if the blood is having trouble going through some vein/artery.

I have a similar sensation....I have the feeling like my upper body and head is shaking when it's not.  It's a sort of pulsing sensation.  I have other neuro problems yet undiagnosed.....stiff and achy muscles, muscle spasms on and off and bad neck pain.  My emg test came back abnormal.....anyone have suggestions.  Yes, it is scary......

Are you dehydrated? Dehydration can and will cause headaches of all sorts. Make sure youre getting enough water. Try to stay away from caffeine.

Also, when did this pulsation start? Did you hit your head on something?

-Greasemonkey.
PS: Have you had your blood pressure checked?
