question about treatment drug...please

  : Hi...I had 3 spine surgeries in the last 8 months...2 fusions and a revision....I have continued to have a burning ache in my back that seems
  : to be getting worse...there is also swelling of the spina; muscles and tender to touch.
  : I have just seen a pain management doctor...and he thinks I have RSD of my lumbar area.  He put me on neurontin 300mg...increasing to 600mg next week.
  : My question concerns injections he will do after the holidays....
  : he will inject the spinal muscles with "serapin" ??  I have been having a very hard time finding any info in this drug...and I was in so much pain
  : at the time of the visit, I didn't get into it with him...
  : he also talked about a tens unit...but it will wait until after the holidays too.
