Had been bitten repeatedly on scalp by pharoah ants in Oct, and developed
paresthesiasNumbness and tingling with muscle jerking/twitching. Had some mild
paresthesiasNumbness and tingling in legs and upper abdomen (like warm water pouring down on abdomen) prior to the bug incident, but didn't think too much of it since it was rare and not at all uncomfortable. I've also developed some
dysphagiaSwallowing difficulty:

Phoraoh ant bites are not reported to cause parasthesias in any of the
medical literature over the past 35 years in a literature search I have
just performed.
In addition the fact that the symptoms were present to some degree before
the bites suggests that they are not connected.
The hiatal hernia obviously accounts for the dysphagia so this is likely
to be a separate issue.
This leaves us with parasthesias amd muscle twitching, this combination
os symptoms implies some
problem with peripheral nerves but without the beneftit of a detailed
history and examination I cannot narrow it down any further.
If this is the source of the problem however I would not expect much yield
from the tests you have already had.
The test that does come to mind is an EMG with nerve conduction studies,
since this procedure investigates the peripheral nerves where the
problem is probably based.
