I am an 18 year old whose migraines usually rebound with Imitrex therapy.  Which of the following is recommended? Relpax, Frova or Axert

My 18 year old son has terrible migraines and has tried the Imitrex also with terrible results.
He has been using the Relpax and within 20 to 30 mins and only one Relpax pill the headache is gone! He suffered so many years wiht Migraines and now with his dose of Nortriptylin and his relpax as a backup he is living headache free.

Definitely try the Relpax.

My very excellent neurologist told me that Frova and Amerge are the ONLY triptans that do not cause the rebound effect as they have more of a half-life. The other triptans can then be used once a week. NO over the counter pain meds like Advil- those cause rebounds too. My neuro gave me Ultram, which is a better choice for chronic and frequent headaches.
