red hands

For the past year my hands turn red a lot while they are down.  If I raise them above my heart or shoulders they return to normal within seconds.  No pain or hot feeling.  I am 55 years of age in good physical condition.  Not overweight.

From the symptoms, there is a possibility of venous obstruction which is causing these symptoms. In order to rule it out get a Doppler ultrasound of the blood vessels from a vascular surgeon done to confirm the diagnosis.
