reoccurance of lipoma in brain

I had a surgery in 1997 to remove lipoma ( right cerebello pontine angle lipoma).. now after 10 years i am daignosed with lipoma on 8th cranial nerve( near brain stem).. now my age is 25 years..i have been advised for cyberknife traetment . is it suitable for this? or is surgery recommended? I need your help.

Hello.

If the lipoma has not completely encircled the cranial nerve, the cyberknife is recommended. Usually it does not encircle the nerve. You can think of going ahead with the recommended treatment option.
