restless leg

I've taken zopiclone for 4 yrs. Two years ago, I have cramp feelings in my legs.
Is it related to zopiclone? Is there any way to ease the cramp feeling as I only feel better when I walk??
Will the cramp go away if I take less sleeping pill? Thanks

Thanks. I have  Hyperthyroidism since 2000, but was healed
one year later. Earlier this year, my doctor said my thyroid gland
condition is close to overactive. So is the thyroid gland problem
the main cause of my cramp legs?

Also, what should I eat to lift iron levels. Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for writing in. Your symptoms are not related to the drug zopiclone. Nocturnal cramps can be associated with pregnancy, obesity, smoking, iron deficiency and anemia, nerve disease, polyneuropathy (which can be associated with hypothyroidism, heavy metal toxicity, toxins, and many other conditions), other hormone disease, such as diabetes, and kidney failure (which can be associated with vitamin and mineral deficiency

Some drugs and medications have been associated with restless leg syndrome including caffeine, alcohol, H2-histamine blockers and certain antidepressants.
Consult your physician for complete evaluation and further assistance in treatment.
Best.
