What exacly IS Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy? Does it mimic MS? Also, what vitamin deficiency mimics MS? And what type of inflammation in the blood vessels mimics MS?
do any or All of these show lesions in the brain, some large, some small? And, lastly, how do I find an expert to interpret my MRIs?
  Again, thank you in advance.

CIDP is a disease in which the immune system attacks the myelin sheaths
surrounding peripheral nerves, despite this common pathway it has very little in common
with MS in terms of presentation, treatment or prognosis.
CIDP does not show any changes on MRI scans.
The disease is not really thought of as a mimicer of MS, like many neurological
diseases the final outcome may be weakness but the patterns are very different.
Vitamin deficiencies are not usually confused with MS, vitamin B12 might
superficially resemble it but they are easy to differentiate.
Vasculitis espacially that associated with lupus can mimic MS, althhough
blood tests and the involvement of other organs push the diagnosis toward vasculitis.
Vasculitis and MS produce lesions on MRI, CIDP and vitamin deficiencies
do not.
To have films reviewed by an expaert you probably need to have them refered
to a neuro-radiologist by another pyhsician. Any neurologist will have access to this
option.
