scalp pain

Sharp pains only in scalp above and behind left ear.  Information needed. Thanks

i have shooting pain on the left occipital area this morning..when i press my scalp...it triggers more ...now its in my left parietal area after six hours....my left eye seems congested but very mild...no migraines...i placed some cold compress in my eyes and get them rested.

i have been having shotting pain on the right side of my head and my scalp hurt when i touch it on my right side also

Hello.

The sharp pains may be a part of migraine, but usually the migraine pains are not restricted a particular area as has been described by you. It will be helpful if you could mention if you have any other symptoms of migraine (nausea, redness of eye, etc)

Does your pain increase on moving the neck ? If yes, then it may be due to a pinched nerve in the neck muscles.

There are a number of other possibilities like temporal arteritis, trigeminal neuralgia, etc.

I would recommend that you see a Neurologist and get the scalp pains examined.
