What should i do to get rid of scalp pain
Hi
Some people told me that it may be from the shampoo
However, i think now that the pain is from my teeth (my wisdom teeth)
it is tilted to the left .. and i think it is compressing on my nerves & causing the pain
thats what i think!
i should remove it .. but the problem is that i have final exams now & i am scared of getting other complications
thats why i will wait until i finish
& i will just continue taking pain relief!

I too have had scalp pain which occured on and off monthy for a long time. It even hurt when I moved my hair and my scalp ached without even touching it and yes the pain when into my ear as well. I know this can occur if you put your hair in a tight pony tail or some other type of "up" hair style that requires pins. But, I seldom put my hair up and this was happening even when my hair was down.
What helped me was changing my shampoo and conditioner! I truly believe I was allergic or had some type of sensitivety to the shampoo & conditioner I was using (pantene). I switched to a natural/mild Shampoo & conditioner and haven't had any pain since! I use Ojon, but please take my advise and try any type that is mild. Good luck.

Hi, it is quite possible to get scalp tenderness due to tension headache. For more information visit http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/tension-headache/DS00304/DSECTION=2. For infections related to scalp, dermatologist will be the best person to look at.
Hi ..
I suffer from migraine headache but not always .. mostly i get tension headache
this is my first time with scalp pain .. & there is no headache .. only pain in the scalp
my question .. is this pain related to migraine or something else?
and how could i know if it is infection or no?

Hi, scalp pain is mainly associated with occipital neuralgia. Do you get headaches often? Other causes being cellulites, migraine, dermatitis, fungal infections etc. Treatment depends upon diagnosis; neuralgia is treated with drugs like gabapentin etc whereas for fungal or other infections antibiotics are prescribed.
