sciatica

by zimmy02, Jun 13, 2009 08:19AM
I had a Tarlov cyst,it centered and to the right in the sacrum. Now removed.I have sciatic pain on the left.I was implanted with a spinal cord stimulator which does not work.I have had numerous MRIs and it also shows the L5-S1 disk is bulging. When I turn to the right thats when the pain really flys in,to the left nothing. Could it be the disk giving me problems?

Hi Zimmy,

I have numerous Tarlov cysts. I think the count is 15, on the nerve roots of my spine. All physicians agree that they do not contribute to my pain. I have sever sciatic pain that is caused from SIJ Dysfunction. I have no major disc problems but I do have facets disease of my spine. It has been proven (through testing) that 90% of my pain is due to the SIJ.

Some ppl have little to no symptoms from a bulging disc. It depends on the location and how large the "bulge." Have you seen a neurosurgeon?

Tuck.
