seizure free for 16 years

I was diagnosed with epilepsy as a teenager. I had always had these"dizzy spells" from as early in childhood as I could remember. I finally saw a doctor and after cat scans and eeg testing , I was told I was having petit mal epileptic seizures. I was put on tegretol (which I rarely took). I went on having these seizures in clusters usually when I was stressed, sleep deprived or around my period. My last seizure occurred when I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter she is now 16. I have since had a 4 year old and still no seizure activity. Recently I was put on antibiotics for sinus infection which I had an allergic reaction to. I broke out in hives it was a sulfa drug. I was then put on zithro antibiotic and atarax. I had a tonic-clonic seizure and was taken to ER. This happened about a week after starting the atarax. I have never had that kind of seizure in the past and not had any for 16 years. Has my epilepsy returned with a vengeance or was it a result of the medications I was given? Please help, my family members and myself are scared.
