Hi,
Giving water to newborn does not cause seizure provided it is being given properly. What I mean if the child is given water and if the newborn has aspirated some of it while giving it then probably that would cause hypoxia and further if hypoxia is prolonged then it would cause hypoxia induced seizure.
Is the child a term or preterm?
Is the baby having seizure? If yes, what is the type of seizure? Is it generalized or focal?
Why was the water given to the child? What kind of water was given?
How old is the child now?
There could be different causes of seizures in different ages of newborn.
Keep me informed.
Bye.
