seizures

Towards the end of july this year (2007) whilst running to collect a phone call I tripped over, fell and landed very hard upon my elbow.Within a couple of days of this happening my arm began to go numb and shake numerous times per day, these episodes only lasted a matter of seconds at a time and were totally painless.
They continued to happen for three weeks following the initial injury then early one morning i was woken by strong pulsations running through the same arm which turned into crippling excrutiating pain and felt like the joints in my fingers were snapping.
I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance  in the early hours of the morning
and stayed there for them to run there tests that day I had another seizure in the afternoon and the circumstances were the same.
I was sent home with a prescription for sodium valproate and have been takin the tablets since, slowly but surely my arm seems to be getting a little better (it doesn't go numb so often) and i have had 1 actual seizure where i blacked out since (5 weeks ago),but i  have had afew episodes which begin much in the same way the seizures do but i shake my arm frantically and somehow counteract
the seizure happening, this is usually followed by palpitations.
I'm 23 years of age,I dont smoke, hardly drink, dont take any drugs, have never had a fit before and have no history of epilepsy in my family. My blood test was clear,my urine sample was clear and so was my mri and ct scans. What i would like to know is, is it possible that the seizures are due to some kind of nerve damage sustained to my elbow and if that is the case is there anything which can be done about it.
If you could give me any useful information at all it would be much appreciated as i'm very worried and i'm finding it difficult to sleep and go about my day to day duties.

Hi,
Assuming the seizures were generalized, it is not possible to have seizure involving whole body and the cause being nerve damage in the elbow. What were the types of seizures? Was it focal or generalized?
I think it is more of local ulnar, median or radial nerve damage or all 3 causing your hand shakiness initially.
It takes time for nerve to heal. They regrow by 1mm/day only. Hence it takes 6-12 weeks for full functional recovery of nerve.
Did they do an EEG on you?
Bye.
