: I am a married 34 year old male, for the past four days I have been ex-
periencing sudden severe pain on the left side of my head whenever I en-
gage in sexual activity. It feels as though the pain is behind my left eye.
I have never been prone to headaches and have never had a migraine to my
knowledge.Tylenol seems to help but even when the pain subsides I can still
feel a slight pain on the left of my head.
While your symptom of post-coital/exertional headache may be from benign cause, I may well represent a very serious (even life-threatening) underlying neurological problem, such as an aneurysm, for instance. SEE A NEUROLOGIST EMERGENTLY.
If you live near Cleveland, you may request for a neurology appointment at the Cleveland Clinic by calling up (216)444-5559, or visit our ER. Good luck!
