severe persistent headache

by TommieB, Sep 07, 2009 03:40PM
I've had a severe, persistent, incessant headache for four months.  The symptoms are bizarre.  It started as a cap of pain at the top of my head, sometimes squeezing, sometimes pressure, then burning and tingling.  It then spread to the rest of my head, sometimes on one side, sometimes the other.  Sometimes back at the top, sometimes at the back, or behind the ears.  My ears hurt off and on, and I have intermittent tingling in the right side of my face, and in my legs/arms/chest.  I have tremors in both hands, and episodes where the skin over my entire body feels like it is on fire.  And there is some problem with my right eye, diagnosed as aniscoria, but the doctors don't know why the pupil isn't dilating properly, nor why the eye hurts.  I have a feeling of pressure/hardness/heaviness in my chest, but an EKG showed no problem with my heart.  And I am generally fatigued, and often feel weak and shakey.  I have had a CT scan, and an MRI, and a CTA of my brain, which were clear.  Also had an MRI of my spine, and that was fine.  I've had a lot of bloodwork done, and that all shows me to be a healthy person.  Now I've been referred to a neurologist, but there's a waiting list (County Hospital).  Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?
