shingles, hand muscle weakness

I have got shingles.  it has hit my right arm and more particularly my right hand.  The tingling is all down the outside of my arm and at its worst in my little finger.

I have taken antiviral drugs and am now on some antidepressants at night which seem to help the pain and control and I take pain killers for the nettle effect.

I have also noticed a marked drop in my gripping power.  and the muscles on the outside of my hand and between thumb and first finger seem to be shrinking by the day.

I wonder if there is anything I can do to help this.

Were you ever able to find a dr that took an interest in your questions, either here or local dr.?
My dad has very similar conditions as yours and we can find little help for him.
