you should go to the doctor and get on an aintbotic my boyfriend had shingles on the back of his leg he let it go for a long while and eventualy was not able to use his leg well, shingles usaly goes away in 30 days meds helps with this it is only on one side of the body and its the dorment versin of the orginal chickenpocks virus. im not to sure about the brain regarding singles and would ask a doctor but i do know that singles does affect the nerves in the body since thats where it lays dorment untill the body is imuncompermized and attacts. and can leave lasting nerve damage and can be treated without a doctor and will go away but if its pressing you then i would say throw one in the er and they fix ya up with wat you need hope this helps

It starts when herpes crusted over and in fact it may even appear after absence of herpes virus. It will be best that you consult a neurologist and treatment options could be anticonvulsants such as gabapentin, antideprassants and topical lidocaine lotion.
