shoulder pain

I have sever shoulder pain in my left shoulder, the pain is the worst when I lay down and is so bad that I have to get out of bed and take a pain pill and then sit up untill they work. I had surgury a year ago to repair a tear in the rotator cuff. Been to the Dr.. twice and he seems at think that it may be the bicep muscle, I have had 2 shots of cortazone and have had no releaf the pain is so bad and I haven't had any decent sleep for so long I just want to cry. Any sugesstions would be greatly appriciated it's 4 in the morning and I want to sleep. Thank You

There can be any causes of shoulder pain and it is difficult to pin point the exact cause without a clinical exam. It is important to know how successful the surgery and post surgery rehab was.
Pain can persist after surgery if the physical therapy program after surgery was not effective enough.
This pain can be unrelated to surgery also like soreness of muscle or tendon. This requires further evaluation; I would suggest you to consult a good orthopedic surgeon about it.
