Are you meaning sinusitis.
Sinusitis by themselves can cause repeated upper respiratory tract infections.This is a type of viscous cycle

Sinuses are always present from birth as normal anatomical structures. They help us in normal ventilation.
You get sinusitis- inflammation of sinuses along with cold or flu.
They both hand in hand and we have to treat either of them to get relief from both.
Although sinus pressure is commonly associated with colds and flu, there are certain conditions that could also lead to this symptom, including sinus infection, air trapped in an obstructed sinus, as well as an allergic reaction that can lead to sinus membrane irritation, swelling and sinus pressure.
