sinus's

i have sharp pains in the top right side of the head,suffer with chronic sinusitis unti normally they clear by going down my throat ,but this time they seem  to be stuborn..could this be the cause of my pain?

Absolutely.  You have a sinus headache.  You may think your nose is clear, but if you'll look at an anatomy illustration of just how big the sinuses are, it's easy to see how mucous can dry up and get stuck in there.  If the sinus cavities get filled up with stuff, it makes your head hurt something awful.  You probably need to go ahead and see an ear nose throat ENT doc to clear up any debris and infection that's in there.  In the meantime, get some plain saline spray from the drugstore and it may help unclog your sinuses, and of course get something like Excedrin for the pain.

Hi,
The headaches could be caused by sinus infections. If the infection doesn’t go away, you may need antibiotic treatment. Please go for X rays of paranasal sinuses and CT scan and consult an ENT surgeon for treatment. Sinuses may be clogged with pus and may require higher antibiotics. Stem inhalation may help a lot. Please avoid cold climate. Anti allergic medications must be taken if you are exposed  to cold mostly. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
