Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me a list of symptoms one would expect from a 4 centimeter tumor located over the orbit, under the frontal lobe (with brain compression), but outside the brain completely (no infiltration).      Would you expect any pain to definately be in the exact location of the tumor at all times, or could it be a rather vague headache?   Also, what other tell-tale symptoms would there be?    Would a feeling of being in a "spaced out" state of mind be a sign?

Is it the SIZE or the TYPE of mass that matters (ie- meningioma versus giant cell tumor of the same size)?   And would you expect this size and location of tumor to ALLWAYS cause symptoms?  

Would some minor brain compression (no midline shift) in this location likely cause symptoms???   What would the symptoms of brain compression here be?   Please advise

A lesion that you describe may or may not cause symptoms. It may cause localized or diffuse headache or it may not. The diagnosis may be suggested by the examination and imaging studies, which your doctors have access to. Confirmation of an exact diagnosis adn better information regarding prognosis could come from a biopsy. Slight compression of the brain may or may not cause symptoms. If severe enough, over time it could result in seizures, capturing an episode of being spaced out on an EEG may be necessary to rule this out.
