I resently got another MRI which statesat C4-5 degenerative disc disease with broad based posterior disc osteophte complex slightly eccentric to the left, uncovertebral hypertrophy and facet hypertrophy results in effacement of the thecal sac and mild biliteral neural foraminal stenosis. No significant central spinal canal stenosis. There was comments on all levels C2-3 Mild uncovertebral and facet hypertropy result in mid left neural foraminal stenosis. C3-4 mild uncovertebral and facet hypertrophy without significant spinal canal or neural foraminal stenosis.C6-7 uncovertebral and facet hypertrophy resulting in mild to moderate left neural foraminal stenosis . C5-6 where I had previous surgery in 1996 states post anterior cervical discectomy and fusion with broad based posterior dspondylotic bar, uncovertebral hypertrophy and facet hypertrophy results in effacement of the ventral thecal dac and mild to moderate left neural foraminal stenosis. impression:multilevel cervical spondylosis resulting in mild effacement of the ventral thecal sac and multilevel neural foraminal stenosis, particulary on the left. The strange thing is my pain is in my right side. Its hard to lay my head back on a pillow I have to lay sideways.neck and shoulder pain worse on the right.Ive had physical theropy for four weeks perscription ran out, after two and a half weeks pain is worse thats why I had a MRI. I did not have such bad head pressure before theraphy. They did traction with there hands not a machine. The Nerosurgeon I see looked at my films and called me. No need for surgery spinal cord is ok on the right and that is where your symtons are. I tried to ask what neural foraminal stenosis was but really no answer. I can go back to physical theropy but kind of frightened since I seem worse than since before theropy. Should I go back to theropy and maybe leave off traction or would it be wise to get a second opinion? Hope someone can help me.
