Hi there. The treatment options for spasmodic torticollis are physical measures, botulinum toxin, and oral drugs. Physical therapy and massage, light touch, sensory biofeedback techniques could help. Injections of botulinum toxin type A into the affected muscles can reduce the painful spasms.  Repeated injections could develop against the toxin. Drugs used are anticholinergics, benzodiazepines, baclofen and carbamazepine. Naltrexone has not been documented to be used for treatment. Psychiatrist treatment is indicated if emotional problem contributes to the torticollis. Hope this helps. Take care.
