Saw a specialist today and i have to have surgery.he told me the left sphenoid would probably clear up with Antibiotics and predesone..the right one however would not and needed surgery. He told me the surrounding bone was very inflamed..so May 3rd is when i go in..Hoping all goes well as it sounds just a little scary.
I have had a CT scan and it shows bilateral sphenoid disease. Ive been on 4 lots of antibiotics, nasal sprays, nasal rinses and nothing is working.I have an ENT app this coming friday..its been long awaited. The symptoms i have are full/fluid filled ears.. high pitched noise in left ear 24/7 Headaches but not all the time, looking far left or right blurs my vision. The worst stmptom is occasionaly i feel like i,m suffocating.Like breathing through a straw that has holes in it..its frightening and ive been to the ER 4 times...getting quite tired of it . I,m hoping the ENT Doc can do something..I,m definately up for surgery at this point because nothign else is working.I,m allergic to good old penicillin so thats not an option
He had 3 sphenoid surgeries? What were those for? His MRI showed Cyst in the same area? I'm confused. I have a 5mm Sphenoid Cyst, I have to go to ENT specialist to have it removed. I also have 5 more issues on the same result sheet. We are going to deal with the right deviated septum too, repair. Normally they don't do it cuz it is too small however I was at the ER 7times in 3 months for allergies that I have but never had these problems before..I have a lot of other medical issues too I'm use to this stuff now..Good Luck..
