spinal fluid leaking

my father had a brin mass removed three weeks ago he is now having csf leaking around his left ear his na and k are low he also was on coumadin for a blood clot and is currently receiving plasma for the loss of csf what dangers besides infection will he experience he is sleeping most of the time and does not have an appetite

The most confronted side effect of csf loss is headache.Consult your Neurosurgeon to treat the headache.So far that he does not have an infection ,everything is under control.Look for the Post-operative MRI for any abnormalities.

Thanks for your answers. However, one question was not answered: Is it possible to transmit cancer to another person if that person is in contact with CSF?

I have not had headaches thank goodness. The doc did not use Dura Seal.
