spinal tap

  Hi, just wondering if anyone else like myself with a dx of ms, recieved a neg. spinal tap. thanks for your comments.

I have not been diagnosed with MS, but read it is common to test neg. on lumbar puncture.
I have a friend who was diagnosed with MS 13 yrs. ago, and has never had spinal tap.....apparently MRI and clinical presentation (symptoms) was enough.
She did comment that her MRI looked like "swiss cheese".
Would you mind sharing your symptoms and MRI results?

  my mri results are on I believe the 7th page of this forum, under MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AND LOCATION OF LESION ON MRI, date 4/9. my symptoms from start to now, since they change are numbness, tingly in hands, arm, feet, leg. mostly when I wake up after sleeping, but does happen threw out the day. sometimes the right side of my face will go numb or a lip or chin. i get burning patches on my skin and sensetive skin patches. sometimes i get a tingle sensation on the back of my neck. my legs are almost always weak and shaky in the morning until Im up for awhile. when i get to fatigue my legs and sometimes arms can get very weak and heavy. as of now i would have to say that fatigue is my worst symptom, it is crushing some days. I hope you get some answers at your appt. this week. post me anytime!

I just had my first LP after 22 years that came back negative.  10 or 12 lesions on my brain and many ms symptoms.  However now I have a few more questions.  I have blood in my spinal fluid, how does that happen????  Why does that happen???  Also what is MCH and why would that be high??? What do I do about that.  I also have had complications since the LP like more numbness and tingling in my face, lips, hands, fingers, feet and toes.  I had it before but not to the extreme that I have it now.  It is driving me insane.  Help....
