How are you?
There can be many reasons for hair loss or baldness like excessive compulsive pulling of hair, trauma, chemotherapy, severe stress, iron deficiency, fungal infections, and hyperthyroidism. Premature male baldness is linked to genetics. It appears to be a X linked trait.
Do you have baldness in your family?
If yes then it can be cause in your case otherwise it seems to be secondary to trauma during shaving.
Take care!
Much like a scar or burn on your arm, the cut you inflicted while shaving may have removed the hair follicles, thus preventing new hair from being grown. If the cut was deep enough that the follicles were removed, then no more hair would grow from that spot, and you'd have a small patch with no hair. Many people, though, have natural small patches that don't grow hair. Though present at birth, these aren't birthmarks, since birthmarks are only a pigment variation, and hair grows normally - if not excessively - over these spots. If you are truly worried you did some damage, I would show it to a doctor. They should be able to tell if there is any scar tissue, and by looking through a magnifying glass, be able to tell if the hair follicles were permanently damage. I am no doctor, though I wish you luck in finding your answer.
