by waddles8217, Nov 04, 2009 02:34PM
Hi im a 22 yr old female. Have been having extremely sharp stabbing pains in lower left hand side of my head. Its been going on for about 2weeks and used to go away. However now it is nonstop sharp pains that shoot all through to my collar bone. Exspecially hard when lifting anything moving wrong turning neck ect. I dnt have insurance so rather not go to doc unless it gets unbearable. It def does not feel like a headache. Any comments or suggestions as to what this is or what i can do will help.

Hi,
The sharp stabbing pains may be due to nerve compression in the neck. The symptoms of pain getting aggravated on certain movements of neck also support the possible nerve compression. Please go for MRI of the spine and brain and consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
