On Dec 7th I had a stereotactic biopsy of a mass on my left
temporalForehead lift
Temporal arteritis
Temporal lobe seizure lobe.
I had a lot of
swellingAbdomen - swollen
Ankle sprain swelling
Breast - premenstrual tenderness and swelling
Foot swelling
Foot, leg, and ankle swelling
Gums - swollen
Joint swelling
Mastoiditis - redness and swelling behind ear
Scrotal swelling
Swelling of my
faceFace pain which is nearly gone now. However, I do
have a strange feeling on the right side of my
faceFace pain now, that I can best
describe as the feeling you get after you've had a tooth filled at the dentist
and the novacain has begun to wear off. It is centered mostly in my cheek
muscle and feels sort of like muscle fatigue. It's not numb, it just feels
thick/heavy and like it is fatigued from constant
contractionFetal heart and uterine contraction monitor
Fetal heart monitoring
Tension headache. The muscle
itself is *not* contracting, it just feels like it is.
The left side of my
faceFace pain feels perfectly normal. Could this possibly be a
temporary side effect of the surgery?

Dear C H,
Numbness in the face should not be a complication of a temporal lobe biopsy. The trigeminal nerve, which supplies sensation to the face, runs on the deep and medial side of the temporal lobe and shouldn't be affected by a routine biopsy.
Speak to your surgeon as to whether there were any unusual circumstances with your biopsy. If not, it is likely a temporary ailment that will abate with time.
Good luck.
