stroke patient has doctor puzzled

My grandfather is 77 and has had a stroke about a month ago. He checked out fine and was release in only 3 days after several tests. He goes to pt for his left had weekly. Recently he became dizzy and fell and was once again released with a clear bill of health. Two days ago he was in the car and felt a horrible "pop" in his neck and then was fine and today he is in the ER with no feeling the his left hand. His doctor is a little puzzled. He is running several test. Should we be worried that his strokes will continue or worse...

What type of stroke did he have (hemorrhagic or ischemic)?  Do you know where in the brain he had the stroke?

His first stroke years ago was ischemic. The others they think work hemorrapagic. This most recent afftected the right side of the brain. The doctor thinks now there is a heart problem he just can't prove it yet. THey are still running multiple tests.
