subarachnoid cyst

Hello... My 14 month old daughter has had stiff legs for the past few months, not willing to bend or try to stand up which is very different from her twin sister. Often times she also will be siting on the ground and just fall backwards like she lost her balance all of a sudden. Her doctor ordered a MRI because her head was bigger than it should be and we found out the she has a cyst in the center of her brain (not sure the exact part) and it is 2 cm by 8 cm. We haven't got a lot of answers because everyone we ask is not a specialist. I'm wondering if this is life thretening or if it is something that can be fixed. Will the cyst keep growing? I know the cyst is large and I am really worried.
