Hi there. West nile virus infection would present with fever, disorientation, and a wide array of neurologic manifestations. I believe that your situation is very unlikely to be from west nile.
Your history of mixed connective tissue disorder may be the culprit regarding this symptom. Connective tissue changes can indeed cause pain, stiffening and symptoms similar to fibromyalgia.
