my mom is 60 years old. one day around 12 months ago she had sudden onset severe headache in the early morning. she told that it was so severe that she had grabbed my dad for the first 15-20 minutes and slowly it went down and did not have any other complaints. she had history of hypertension, hypothyroidism and multiple drug allergies (very severe..bleeding, breathlessness etc) and remotely had glomerulonephritis.
at that time no ct scan or mri done by the local doctor. however, i read that it could be dangerous. i would like to know what kind of neuroimaging if at all should be done?i m ready to pay (upto $3000) even if the insurance company is not.
