symptoms after lacunar infarction

Dear Doctors!
Hope you have time to respond to my question. Last year I suffered a lacunar infarction. Although almost all symptoms are cleared now, I still have trouble with my memory and reading, as well as speaking. I can speak normally, but sometimes I just can't find the words. I also have a lot of trouble with memorizing things (phonenumbers etc). I always had an excellent memory so it is pretty distressing for me. I am a lawyer, but just can't really remember what I read.
Questions:
1.
Is this normal after a (small) lacunar infarction?
2.
Will this improve after a year? (It seems to get worse instead of getting better!)
3.
Would a MRI scan prevail more (maybe "silent"??) CVA's than the CT scan (showed two infarctions, of which I had trouble with one).
Thanks very much for your reply.
