I have had tailbone pain, so much that is is very uncomfortable for the past 6 months... I don't think I have had a day that I could sit, or get up for all of that time..Riding in a car or pick-up, or sitting at my desk is getting to be something I dread.  Sometimes it bothers when standing, but not as often.
I had an x-ray done a week ago, that showed no arthritis, I guess, but did show "a symmetrical sclerosis and narrowing of the sacroiliac joints, but no erosive bone changes"  I am wondering what may be going on, and if there is any help for this problem.  The radiologist did state that a bone isotope bone scan would be of help in further evaluation if symptoms persist.
Any help you can give would be appreciated...

Bonnie,
It sounds from your description that you have an orthopedic problem in your sacroiliac joints. This does not fall within the realm of the specialty of neurology, and thus we are not qualified to give you advice on this particular matter. I would suggest you try an Orthopedics web site. I will pass along a request to Medhelp to assist you with finding such. Sorry!!!
