tegretol, bipolar and strange head sensation, another question, different user...

Hello.  Bipolar here, Lamictal 150mg, Tegretol 400mg, 200mg 2xday.  Since starting the tegretol, ive developed the strangest side effect.  In the back of my throat, starting id say around 3/4 down my tongue, enveloping the entire throat is the oddest of sensations.  It's like all the mania is now stored in this one area, but is the most uncomfortable of side effects.  I've been told to ignore it and that there is nothing the matter, but i am curious if it's been seen elsewhere by others and what they have been told.  The only solution is to increase the amount of valium or ativan but i fear addiction.

I saw a similar question down at the bottom, but the symptoms were not exactly related which is why i bring this up...
